Well if you haven't heard, Judge Baum denied Balsillie's motion to move the Phoenix Coyotes to Hamilton. Not much else to say, except that I am disappointed but not surprised. Such is the life of a Hamiltonian.
At least Balsillie is not giving up the fight, but don't expect anything positive to come out of the Coyotes. There is no chance that Bettman will flip flop and start negotiating with Balsillie on this one.
I hope whoever gets suckered into keeping the Coyotes in Phoenix enjoys a long, depressing, and expensive stint in the desert.
Time to update my list...

I agree.
My optimism was only within the context of a possible initial positive court decision.
Hamilton has tried for expansion, relocation and including via legal means. As the NHL is now with its leadership it appears Hamilton has no chance. And I am not convinced by those in the media that state a second team for S. Ont. is inevitable.
This is crap for Canada and since we have presently six pretty mediocre products on the ice a Hamilton/S.Ont. team could have been a wealthy team that could win championships if run well.
But of course the League must pursue its American national sport fantasy and the Leafs and friends must be keep the cartel running.
Good job with the site...
must keep the cartel running.
Sorry.:)
